Max Gardner is one Co-Founder of Marching Modular. He has over a decade of experience arranging and teaching in the Middle Tennessee area. Max attended Middle Tennessee State University and was a member of the MTSU Percussion Studio under Lalo and Julie Davila, Dr. Brian Mueller, and Russell Wharton. Max began arranging and writing music during high school and has since published works with Row-Loff Productions and has self-published his own snare drum book.
Max has most recently written and taught for Wilson Central High School (Lebanon, TN) under the MTSBOA President, Stacy Jernigan, as well as Carter Noblin and Nick Thomas. He has also worked with other bands in the Middle Tennessee area including Mt. Juliet High School, Shelbyville Central High School, Columbia Central High School, and Spring Station Middle School.
Max has experience marching in Audio Theater Indoor Drumline, Pioneer Drum and Bugle Corps, and Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps.
He currently lives in Spring Hill, TN with his girlfriend Cassie, two cats Juno and Freya, and two crested geckos Isla and Enid.
Who is Marching Modular?
Paten Shelton is the other Co-Founder of Marching Modular. He has over a decade of experience arranging and teaching in the Middle Tennessee area. Paten attended Middle Tennessee State University, majored in Music Education, and was a member of the MTSU Percussion Studio under Lalo and Julie Davila, Dr. Brian Mueller, and Russell Wharton. Paten began arranging and writing music during high school and has worked with multiple bands and ensembles.
Paten has most recently written and taught for Wilson Central High School (Lebanon, TN) under the MTSBOA President, Stacy Jernigan, as well as Carter Noblin and Nick Thomas. He has also worked with Audio Theater Indoor Drumline.
